This is the butterfly leg raises
, and it's a very effective exercise that works on your inner tights, hips and abs. Also, you don't need any gym equipment for this so you can do this at home.
First, lie on your back with your arms by your sides. Cross your legs in a butterfly position and keep the soles of your feet together (see diagram above).
To perform the exercise, follow instructions below:
- Contract your abs muscle and the muscles of your legs.
- Keeping your arms on the ground, raise your legs toward the ceiling.
- Hold for 4 - 5 seconds, then release your muscles and return to the initial position.
- Repeat the above steps for 15 - 20 times.
Butterfly leg raises when done regularly improve your flexibility and help get rid of the extra fat in your legs and buttocks as well.
